One thing I really like about the beer industry at the moment is how creative brands are getting with their can designs. The bright colours and odd imagery on there is really eye-catching, and whilst you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, it really adds something to the situation.
We were having an end of week beer in the office so I popped across the road to Sainsbury’s to get a drop.
Pint No. 160
What? – Drygate, Disco Fork Lift Truck, Mango Pale Ale
Where? – The Office, Putney
When? – Friday 8th June 2018
Said drop was Disco Fork Lift Truck Mango Pale Ale from Drygate Brewery in Glasgow. The mango on this beer was strongly in the nose, smelling a bit like the dried mango you can buy. It was also a similar colour to that of unsulphered dried mango. The taste was more like a regular pale ale with an after taste of mango. Quite nice, I’d like to give it a go on tap if possible.
